We don’t do it for the awards, but just once, it would be nice…

As nature lovers, and tellers of the occasional of fish tale, we were eager to help the Cahaba River Society imagine, plan, and brand their largest fundraiser. The annual fry down, has grown each and every year, inviting companies to form teams to serve up the best fried catfish. Now, we never do a job with the sole intent of winning an award. We win our fair share, but we do it only as a by-product of delivering work that is targeted against a client’s strategic and business measures of success, not the ad industry’s. In this case, however, we sure would like to win the trophy we designed. In eight years the closest we’ve come is third place. Third place!!!! Seriously? This is one award we will continue to relentlessly pursue, like our fragile egos demand it. Because, in this case, they do.
