Call for Interns

Everything I need to know I learned on the first day of my internship. Well, that’s not entirely true, but it was certainly an eye-opener, and it was the day I fell outrageously in love with the industry. The client meetings, the jargon, the sage talent surrounding me, the free coffee…and the realization that I was creating real work that would be seen by real people:  I was hooked.

This summer Cayenne’s design, accounts, and content teams will welcome interns. Working with young talent and sharing our creative process with up-and-comers—those are some of our very favorite things. If you’d like to be part of the Cayenne crew this summer, read the info below and shoot us an email.

Q: Can I get credit?

A: Certainly. We will be happy to work with your institution if they have a credit-based internship program.

Q: What’s the process?

A: GREAT question. Applications will be accepted through February 27, 2017. Interviews will be conducted March 6 through March 9, 2017. Offers will be sent March 15, 2017. Internships will begin at intervals from May through August.

Q: Will I get paid?

A: Indeed. This is a paid internship and class credit is available.

Q: Will I get to work on real projects?

A: Oh yes. Cayenne interns have responsibilities and deadlines like any other member of the crew. You’ll be fully integrated into our culture and get your hands dirty from day one.

Q: What if I want to apply for a design or content internship and I don’t have an online portfolio?

A: No problem. Feel free to email some digital images of your work. The more we see of what you have to offer, the better; we will be conducting interviews and we will ask if you can bring a portfolio if/when you interview with us.

Q: Who do I call for more information?

A: Hopefully most of your questions will be answered here. If you have a specific question that’s not covered, email the address associated with your desired internship.

Q: Anything else I should know?

A: There always is. We have dogs in the office on a regular basis, so plan accordingly if you suffer from any allergies, etc.
